Easy, quick flavorful carne asada street tacos you can make from home! Warm corn tortillas filled with juicy carne asada, and topped with fresh onions, cilantro and lime juice.
I love this dish because it’s so quick and easy to make and is loaded with so much flavor. One of my favorite foods to eat is tacos and once you start making these from home and realize just how easy they are to make, you might be eating them even more often!
INGREDIENTS
- STEAK- seasoned in a quick marinade for 30 minutes
- DICED ONION- add a great crunch and bite to the tacos
- CILANTRO – adds freshness
- LIME – add great acidic flavor to finish off the tacos

Carne Asada Street Tacos
Ingredients
Carne Asada
- 1 pound flank steak, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
Toppings
- ½ small white onion, diced
- ⅓ cup cilantro, chopped
- 8 corn tortillas
- 2 limes, cut in slices
Instructions
- In a medium sized bowl, add cut steak and seasoning. Let sit for 30 minutes to marinate.
- While steak is marinating, prepare toppings but dicing onions, cilantro and limes. Set aside.
- Add steak to a cast iron or non stick skillet over medium-high heat, let sit in a single layer to sear for 1-2 minutes. Mix then let cook again for another 2-3 minutes for a total cooking time of 3-5 minutes total. Set aside.
- Heat up tortillas in the microwave, wrapped in a damp paper towel or clean kitchen towel for a few seconds or until warmed.
- Once everything is ready, assemble tacos by adding in steak and topping with onion, cilantro and a squeeze of lime.
