Miso Garlic Butter Salmon

This tender juicy salmon is perfectly pan fried then finished with a miso garlic butter. Only four ingredients are needed to make this delicious salmon recipe.

I love making salmon for a quick weeknight dinner but I don’t always like making it the same way with the same flavor profile. That’s why this salmon recipe is the perfect addition to add into the rotation. The rich and creamy butter pairs great with the salty umami flavors of the miso paste.

Miso Garlic Butter Salmon

Print Recipe
Course dinner, lunch, Main Course
Servings 3 servings

Ingredients
  

Miso Garlic Butter

  • 3 tbsp salted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, grated

Salmon

  • 1 pound salmon
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • scallions, for garnish – optional
  • sesame seeds for garnish – optional

Instructions
 

Miso Garlic Butter

  • combine all ingredients together, starting with just one grated clove of garlic. Taste and add more to preference.

Salmon

  • Pat dry salmon and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat. Add oil. Once hot add salmon non-skin side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Flip to skin side down and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Then add preferred miso garlic butter on top of salmon. Cover pan with lid and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove from pan and garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
