Honey Sriracha Ground Chicken and Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 3 cups brocoli
Honey Sriracha Sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2-3 tbsp sriracha or more or less to spice preference
- 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground garlic
For serving,
- chopped green onions, for garnish
- cooked rice
Instructions
- Wash and chop broccoli into bite sized pieces.
- Add broccoli into a medium-large non stick pan over medium heat with just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. Let steam for about 5-7 minutes or until broccoli turns bright green.
- While the broccoli cooks, mix together honey sriracha sauce in a small bowl.
- Remove broccoli from pan and add ground chicken to pan. Spread the meat out then let sit untouched for about 2-3 minutes so the bottom can brown. Break the chicken up to continue cooking, stirring occasionally until most of juices have evaporated, about 3-4 minutes.
- Turn heat down to low and mix in sauce and broccoli into pan. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens a little.
- Remove from heat, top with green onion garnish and serve with rice if preferred.
