Honey Sriracha Ground Chicken and Broccoli

Course dinner, lunch
Servings 3 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 3 cups brocoli

Honey Sriracha Sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2-3 tbsp sriracha or more or less to spice preference
  • 3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground garlic

For serving,

  • chopped green onions, for garnish
  • cooked rice

Instructions

  • Wash and chop broccoli into bite sized pieces.
  • Add broccoli into a medium-large non stick pan over medium heat with just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. Let steam for about 5-7 minutes or until broccoli turns bright green.
  • While the broccoli cooks, mix together honey sriracha sauce in a small bowl.
  • Remove broccoli from pan and add ground chicken to pan. Spread the meat out then let sit untouched for about 2-3 minutes so the bottom can brown. Break the chicken up to continue cooking, stirring occasionally until most of juices have evaporated, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Turn heat down to low and mix in sauce and broccoli into pan. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens a little.
  • Remove from heat, top with green onion garnish and serve with rice if preferred.
