Baked Soy Garlic Ginger Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1.5 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ tbsp grated garlic
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- ½ tbsp honey
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
- ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven at 425 degrees.
- Toss chicken wings with oil, salt and pepper.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil then place an oven-safe wire rack on top. Spread out chicken wings in a single layer on the rack. Make sure they're not overlapping.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until crispy.
- In the mean time, combine the remaining ingredients in a small pot.
- Bring sauce to a simmer over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally. Keep a close eye out to not over boil. Once sauce has slightly thickened and reduced, about 8-10 minutes., remove from heat to let cool.
- Remove wings from oven and toss in sauce then place back on wire rack and transfer to oven to cook for 10 additional minutes.
- Once done, serve with any extra sauce for dipping.
