A simple chunky salsa made with fresh ingredients. Enjoy it on its own with tortillas chips or paired with some Mexican inspired recipes.
Pico de Gallo
Ingredients
- 3 roma tomatoes
- ¼ white or yellow onion
- ½ – 1 jalapeño, seeds and membrane removed.
- juice of 1-2 limes
- ¼ cup loosely packed cilantro
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Chop tomatoes and and place into a medium sized bowl.
- Remove skin from onion and dice into small pieces. Add into bowl.
- Cut jalapeño in half and remove seeds and membrane. Dice into small pieces and add to bowl.
- Wash then chop cilantro, add to bowl along with lime juice and season with salt. Adjust to preference.
