In a small bowl, whisk together dry ingredients until evenly combined.
In a larger bowl, whisk together wet ingredients, except chocolate chips, until evenly combined.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix with a spatula until just combined then fold in chocolate chips.
Grease an 8" x 8" baking pan and add in batter. Top with additional chocolate chips if preferred.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a knife or toothpick in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven then let sit for at least 15 minutes before cutting into. Cut into equal squares and enjoy.
