Hoisin Glazed Chicken Burgers

Servings: 8 burgers

Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 6 garlic cloves, grated
  • 6 scallions, whites and greens, thinly sliced or finely minced
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • small handful cilantro, finely chopped
Hoisin Glaze
  • cup hoisin sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha
  • ground ginger, to taste
  • garlic powder, to taste
Toppingg
  • 8 brioche burger buns
  • cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 jalapeños, thinly sliced
  • lettuce, of choice
  • small handful blend of herbs: mint, cilantro, and basil

Method
 

Burger Patties
  1. Mix together all ingredients and shape into 4 ounce patties that are about ½-inch thick. Indent the center slightly
  2. Heat a skillet with a little bit of oil on medium-high heat.
  3. Once hot, cook on both sides for about 3-4 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165℉.
  4. (Alternatively, sear on both sides for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Finish cooking in oven at 200℉ until internal temperature reaches 165℉.)
Hoisin Glaze
  1. Mix all ingredients together, adjust to taste.
Assemble
  1. Toast buns in the warm pan the burgers were cooked in.
  2. Top burgers with sauce, cucumber slices, jalapeño slices, lettuce and herb mix.
