Chai Spiced Overnight Oats

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bags chai tea
  • 2 cup milk of choice, I used almond milk
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

additional toppings

  • chopped almonds, banana, extra cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Over low heat, steep the tea bags in the milk. Keep heat low enough to avoid milk from simmering.
  • Steep for about 10 minutes then remove bags and allow milk to cool down.
  • Meanwhile, milk together remaining ingredients (minus any toppings) in a medium sized bowl. Once milk had cooled down to room temperature, pour over oats and mix until evenly combined.
  • Store in fridge overnight. When ready to serve remove from fridge and top with additional preferred toppings.
